Gideon | 2024 Senior

The youngest of us Lintons is officially a high school graduate!

Capturing senior photos is among my favorite, and when it is your little brother, it’s even more fun. During our sessions, we shared current favorite songs, talked about serious stuff, and laughed a lot. I learned how to properly angle a truck. Gideon entertained my creative experiments. We trekked in woods, rose early for fog, waded through swamps, and ultimately captured most of Gideon in a nutshell.

Gideon is a thinker. There’s been more than once where he opens his mouth, and I am surprised at what comes out. Deep is one word that often comes to mind when I think of Gid—deep in his mind, deep thoughts, deeply rooted in his convictions and opinions. I think it will serve him well in the future.

He has many nicknames—Gid, G-Bob, Gid-Bo, Bo-Bo, and my personal favorite: Guppy. When he was a young, he was frightened of the deep water at the lake. I told him to kick and swim like a guppy fish. Ever since then, he’s been Guppy to me. So, I’ll tell him like I told him then, swim! Swim into the opportunities that the future presents. Swim.

Photo Note: Each session and aspects of these photos have meaning. Gideon loves his hats. Photos were taken on his namesake’s land—Bob. Duck hunting is a passion of Gid’s. Elements that make up his life like his dogs, his truck, and his boots. He’s a nationally ranked marksman. And, he has a special interest in western culture/clothes. I’ll forever preach that if you can get your seniors to incorporate meaningful things in their photos, they truly tell a story.
